After widespread rumors, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor finally opened the curtains and unveiled Honor 6X with dual camera in Beijing. According to sources, the newly launched Honor 6X will be available in China on October 25 in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants in Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue and Rose Gold color variants.
The 3GB/32GB model will be available for 1299 Yuan (Rs. 12,850). However, the 4GB/64GB variant will be priced at 1599 Yuan, which equates to Rs. 15,819.
Huawei Honor 6X Specifications
Huawei Honor 6X features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with a 401 PPI and 2.5D Gorilla Glass shield. Talking about the internals, the Honor 6X comes with a 16nm-based HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor, Mali T830-MP2 graphics, 3GB/4GB RAM alongside 32GB/64GB eMMC v5.1 storage technology. The point to note is that the storage can be expandable up to 128GB.
The main USP of Huawei Honor 6X is the integration of a 16MP rear camera paired with a 2MP camera adjacent to the main sensor. It provides support for LED flash, 6P lens, 1.25µm pixel size, and PDAF. There is not much to cheer about the camera specs since the secondary rear camera has a capacity of the only 2MP. We wonder what purpose does this serve.
In addition to dual cameras on the rear, you also have an 8MP front-facing snapper, which captures accurate selfies with several beautification apps. Honor 6X is equipped with a 3340mAh battery with fast charging technology. You will be able to charge the handset quickly.
Moreover, the handset provides support for 4G LTE, hybrid dual-SIM slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS. With a thickness of 8.2mm, the new Honor phone measures 162 grams in weight.
The handset also includes a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera. According to Huawei, the new Honor handset has the capability to deliver backup for one full day under mixed usage.
Huawei Honor 6X Availability in India
As of writing this, we don’t have any information about the release date of Honor 6X in India. However, we expect the company to release soon before the end of January.
In early October, Honor launched the much-awaited Honor 8 and Holly 3 phones by hosting a grand launch event. We are not expecting another launch event soon. But the handset will be released in India soon.
