The search engine giant – Google has announced its decision to adopt a standard technology to enhance the scrolling problems that would allow both mouse and touch navigation at the same time for its Google Chrome Web browser. It has been also reported that Google will now support the Pointer Events in the Chrome for a rich scrolling experience on touch devices.
According to The Verge report, the changes might be introduced in the upcoming releases of Google Chrome that will primarily fix all the scroll related problems on the Windows tablets and other devices.
The company also said that in order to improve Google Chrome, it will support Pointer Events, a standard that was originally brought in by Microsoft in Internet Explorer (IE).
So far, Google dedicated its efforts on supporting Touch Events, a technique used by Apple in its Safari Web browser. Still, the company said that feedback given by the web community led to “the change in heart.”
“The change would address the longstanding source of scroll-start junk that is seen on Android,” said Google’s Rick Byres.
Though, Google would take some time to develop and test it with nighty and weekly versions of Google Chrome, representing that the users would not witness the progresses instantly. After this, it could take somewhere between a month or even more to create its way to the constant version of Google Chrome.
