After Hyderabad and Vijayawada, Chittoor will be the third city in the circle to see the highest number of broadband connections in the state. In the Chittoor area, the Next Generation Network (NGN) will offer integrated broadband and landline facility for sites such as Chittoor city, Kanipakam temple, Aragonda, and Bangarupalyam. In the entire Andhra Pradesh, Chittoor SSA is the first ones regarding Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
Tirumala is crucial for BSNL as it is part of the technology revolution. The 2G and 3G combined cell sites were recently launched in Sri Padmavathi and Kaustubham guest houses. In the due time, BSNL is looking at Mokallamitta and Akasaganga for the future setup of 2G and 3G technology.
Last year state-run telecom player BSNL in collaboration with QuadGen Wireless Solutions launched the 5G Wi-Fi services in Visakhapatnam. It targeted the three tourist hotspots of Kailasagiri, Beach Road and Vuda Park.
BSNL 5G Wi-Fi services have received good reviews wherever they have launched their technology revolution. So owing to the tremendous response, the company has taken a quantum leap by proposing to expand its network to 40 districts across the Telecom District.
