Asus started sending out invites for its Zenvolution event earlier this month. The company is expected to launch its ZenFone 3 line-up with the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The company hasn’t officially announced much about the three variants of the phone. There are, however, leaks and information available on benchmarking site ‘GFXBench’ that provide insights into what you might see.
According to the site, one ZenFone 3 variant dubbed Z016D would feature high-end specs with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. Asus previously made use of MediaTek chips in their ZenFone line-ups but announced that they would be changing to Qualcomm’s chips. The Z016D variant will come along with a 5.5-inch full HD screen, 128GB of internal storage memory as well as a 21MP rear camera lens capable of recording 4K videos and an 8MP lens on the front-face. The device is also expected to run on Marshmallow 6.0 right out of the box.
Other benchmarking sites also enlisted specifications for other ZenFone 3 models dubbed, Z010DD and Z012D. The former is expected to come along with a 5.9-inch display screen, an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip with 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of internal storage memory. The phone will come with a 12MP camera lens on the rear and a 5MP lens on the front. The other is expected to come with similar specifications along with a 5.5-inch display screen and a Snapdragon 650 chipset.
All three variants of the ZenFone 3 are also expected to come along with USB Type-C ports, a fingerprint scanner, front and rear LED flash modules, laser auto-focus as well as 2.5D curved glass on the front as well as the rear.
