If you are expecting the launch of iPhone 7 and MacBook Pro at the upcoming WWDC 2016 on June 13, you will be disappointed since the chances of Apple releasing new hardware are slim. According to industry analysts, Apple will only launch new software products and will stick to the stand of Worldwide Developers Conference prime objective. The conference aims to reach out to software developers and the launch of new devices doesn’t make sense.
Previously, there were reports that Apple will make an announcement regarding the upcoming iPhone 7 and MacBook Pro with an OLED display above the keyboard. If you are a fan of Apple devices, you can expect few announcements regarding the next generation iOS 10, OS X 10.12, watchOS 3 and probably a new version of tvOS including updates to Apple Music. There are reports that Apple will also release few other internal utility apps.
Even though Apple will not release the final version of iOS 10, you can expect the launch of the beta release at the conference. This will help Apple to incorporate developer feedback before rolling out the final release along with iPhone 7 in September.
According to rumors, Apple is planning to completely refresh the virtual assistant Siri with additional features such as the ability to pick phone calls and speak out messages. Moreover, Siri will be able to explain to your friends about why you are unable to talk to them. You will be able to pre-record messages, which will be played to them automatically.
Apple is also planning to release an app called Home, which will serve as a single hub for all home devices. With iOS 10, you will be able to remove the default apps located on the home screen and are loaded with the device by default. This includes Stocks, Game Center, Tips, Calendar, Videos, Voice Memos, Reminders, iBooks among others.
In a recent interview, Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook revealed that they would like to make users happy by introducing new features useful for them.
Apple is also considering integrating a feature with which the device will be active only after inputting a password or secret digit number if the relevant device remains unlocked for more than eight hours. This is a great security feature and will prevent misuse of Apple’s devices.
Talking about OS X 10.12, Apple is planning to integrate Siri into the MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops. Till now, Siri was present only in iOS, watchOS, and tvOS platforms. The new software will be more or less similar to that of Cortana in Windows 10.
According to news circulating on rumor mills, Apple will also release a new version of watchOS 3 with support for third-party watch faces, improvements to fitness tracking in addition to a wide range of new health apps.
Earlier, there were rumors circulating on the web about the proposed launch of a new TV streaming service, which is capable of streaming content from over 25 channels. However, the launch seems unlikely since Apple has entered into a dispute over the cost of each channel.
There are reports that Apple will announce new updates to Apple TV set-top box and will completely overhaul the user interface of Apple Music. Moreover, the company will also expand Beats 1 audio with the integration of an enhanced streaming engine.
