Apple pushes iOS 10.0.2 update with headphone audio bug fix and more

iOS 10.0.2 update

Within days of the official launch of iOS 10, Apple has released the second iteration of its software dubbed as iOS 10.0.2. The update addresses an issue that could prevent headphone audio controls from not working temporarily. Moreover, the new iOS 10.0.2 update also resolves an issue that caused images to exit when turning on iCloud Photo Library. It also fixes an issue that prevented users from activating few app extensions.

The new iOS 10.0.2 update measures 33MB in download weight. To manually verify the existence of the update, you need to navigate to Settings | General | Software Update.

Regarding problems, the Cupertino-based tech giant is hopeful that there will not be any cases that effectively bricked few iDevices during the download process. Previously, few iPhones became unusable when users were attempting to install the new iOS 10 build.

T-Mobile issues notification not to install iOS 10

Incidentally, T-Mobile has released a notification, which prompts customers with the Apple iPhone 6, Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Apple iPhone SE not to install iOS 10 until Apple sent out a software fix. However, Apple released the required patches the very next day.

Apple also released iOS 10.1 beta to the general public. This update also includes the addition of Portrait Camera mode for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. This will enable iPhone 7 Plus owners to leverage the advantage of the second camera on the rear of the phone. It works by adding a blur effect on the background of portraits shot with the handset.

iOS 10 features

The iOS 10 enables you to deliver messages in your own handwriting. You can also change the way your message bubbles will look like. Moreover, you can send hidden message or image, which will be exposed upon swiping. The iOS 10 provides an ability to express greetings with animations including the capability to deliver messages decorated with fireballs, heartbeats, sketches, stickers, and emojis.

The new Home app included with iOS 10 enables you to activate lights, unlock doors and even raise your window blinds. You can make use of the 3D Touch in apps such as Calendar, Weather, and Stocks for a quick glance at the required information.

By default, the iOS 10 has been loaded in the recently released iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. If you have iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus, you can upgrade from iOS 9 to iOS 10.
