Apple iPhone 7 leaked almost completely: Price, release date, specs

Even though Apple’s next-generation iPhone won’t be releasing until fall 2016, rumours of the device have been pouring in since January this year. We’ve have gathered a lot of details about the upcoming iPhone, giving us a pretty good idea as to what we can expect when it finally launches.

Here’s everything we know so far about Apple’s next-generation iPhone.

It won’t be called the iPhone 7

To kick things off, there have been several reports suggesting that Apple could drop the traditional numbered nomenclature for the upcoming iPhone. Instead, reports suggest the next iPhone will be dubbed as the iPhone Pro. Quite contrary to earlier reports which claimed that the new iPhone would be called the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro.

Apple to continue releasing two variants of the iPhone

We can expect Apple to continue with the trend of releasing two variants of the iPhone, with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Though several reports also suggested that Apple will also launch a 5-inch variant and a massive 6-inch variant alongside the regular 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions.

Design

Reports indicate that the upcoming iPhone’s design will feature subtle changes as it’ll get the same design language we saw with the iPhone 6S. Though Apple might fix the ugly camera bump on back to give it a more flush finish. In addition, antenna bands are expected to be relocated from the back to the top, bottom and sides of the phone. While on the front we can expect to see a relocated ambient light sensor along with a longer earpiece. And with the removal of the standard 3.5mm jack, the next iPhone’s thickness is expected to shrink by up to 1mm.

Processor, Storage, Camera

Apple is planning to make 32GB as default storage in iPhone 7 and will ditch its 16GB variants. While as per a report released by an IHS Technology analyst, the next iPhone’s storage could go up to a massive 256GB of internal storage.

Apart from increased storage, the next-generation iPhone will rock a dual-camera setup just the like the one found on the LG G5. Reports also indicate the possibility of VR support in camera to capture immersive VR videos without the use of an external camera.
