On the sidelines of the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) launch event yesterday, the Cupertino-based company has announced the release of iOS 9.3 with Night Shift, New Quick Actions, App Improvements, ‘1970’ Bug Fix and other new features and enhancements. The recently released iPhone SE and iPad Pro comes with the new iOS 9.3 blood.
The iOS 9.3, released after seven rounds of beta testing, offers more capabilities for 3D Touch, protects your Notes app with Touch ID including the ability to read content easily in low-light conditions. That being said, the biggest reason for upgrading to iOS 9.3 is that it fixes an encryption flaw in iMessage.
With the latest update, the iOS 9.3 enables you to open a quick menu of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and battery settings by simply tapping Settings icon. Previously, you would have to launch the individual app to manage each connectivity feature.
A noticeable feature of iOS 9.3 is that you will be able to make use of the Touch ID fingerprint reader to lock access to your Notes app including using it as the lock screen by keying in a numerical code.
Capable of automatically adjusting display brightness and color temperature depending on the time, the newly integrated Night Shift feature also modifies the color temperature of the screen from cooler (blue) hues to warmer (orange) hues after sunset.
The Health app in the iOS 9.3 has been updated to enable you to fetch recommendations for apps to help you refresh your workout routine, sleep patterns including weight loss. Some of the other important features bundled with iOS include location-based recommendations in Apple’s CarPlay infotainment system with Apple Music’s integration.
As far as educational features are concerned, the iOS 9.3 has got capabilities to streamline iPad-sharing between students. Moreover, teachers will be able to create and deliver interactive lessons on the iPad including device-management tools for schools.
The new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro comes with iOS 9.3 pre installed with the immediate availability for owners of the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, and 6S Plus via System Update notification.
