According to latest reports, the inordinate delay in the availability of Apple AirPods is due to an unexpected audio sync issue. As per the revised estimates, you can expect the launch of AirPods in January 2017. The delay in the launch of AirPods is purely technical. Meanwhile, there are reports that Apple is having serious problems with the manufacturing process as well.

There are reports that Apple is working on to manufacture AirPods in such a way that both ear pieces receive relevant signals at the same time. This will eventually reduce connection drops.

A senior Apple analyst revealed that the company should make sure that both earpieces receive audio at the same time to avoid distortion. Moreover, Apple is working on to resolve a particular situation when a user loses one of the AirPods or in the event where the battery drops to a minimum level.

During the iPhone 7 launch event in September, Apple had announced the arrival of Wireless earphone popularly called as AirPods. However, the AirPods was not launched along with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

In a statement released to the press, Apple revealed that the initial response to AirPods has been great and incredible. However, we are not yet ready to ship the product which is under development. Hence, we need few more days before we can ship AirPods to our customers.

Even after three months, there is no clear indication as to when Apple will launch the near AirPods. A few weeks back, the Cupertino-based tech giant had tagged the AirPods as Coming soon on its official online store.

On the specifications front, Apple is purely depending upon the in-house developed processor to stream audio through the earbuds. If you look at competing for wireless headphones, they deliver Bluetooth audio to one earbud and broadcast it over another.

Priced at $159, Apple AirPods is touted to work in tandem with iPhone 7 since it doesn’t feature a headphone jack. Last month, Barclays said that the production process for AirPods should start in December. However, the number of units ordered are somewhat small than expected between 10 to 15 million.

In the meantime, Economic Daily News added that supply of AirPods is expected to start in January 2017, although no specific time frame has been provided. We expect the launch of AirPods in India by the end of Q3 2017.
