After releasing Cyanogen OS 12.1 update for Yureka and Yureka Plus smartphones last month, YU has started rolling out the Cyanogen OS 12.1 update based on Android 5.1 Lollipop for Yuphoria smartphones from today.
According to the recent tweet from Rahul Sharma – Co-founder of YU, Google CTS had certified the Cyanogen updates for the Yuphoria smartphones and will start rolling out tonight.

The software update will be rolled out in phases over the upcoming two weeks with a host of enhanced features such as:
- Redesigned Launcher: App Drawer and Folders have been redesigned enhancing accessibility.
- Smarter Screen: LiveDisplay adjusts your screen based on environmental conditions.
- Calendar Together with Email: Seamlessly share your availability and schedule appointments.
- Fresh AudioFX: The user interface has been updated for consistency across all devices.
- More Playback Support: Increased support of codecs for video and audio playback
This update will also bring enhanced performance improvements, responsiveness and amazing thermal control to your YU Yuphoria.
