First opened to the Chinese markets in early March, India will be the second country to where Xiaomi Mi 5 will release. Xiaomi has sent out a number of press invites for the launch event, which is to happen on the 31st of March 2016 in New Delhi.
Xiaomi Mi 5 Price in India
When Xiaomi first launched the Mi5 for sale in China, its base model, the Xiaomi Mi 5 Standard version was priced at approximately INR. 21,000. We however have heard that the phone will be sold at a slightly steeper price of INR. 25,000 in India. Official prices will be announced by Xiaomi during the launch event.
The phone was initially announced in three different variants, all of which were similar in physical dimensions with a 5.15” display screen. Available in China in a ‘Standard version’, ‘High-end version’ and ‘Pro version’, they offer different processing speeds and internal storage configurations, along with the same Snapdragon 820 chipset across all devices.
Xiaomi Mi 5 Specs
The Standard version comes along with a 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage and two dual-core Kyro processors with speeds of 1.8Ghz and 1.6Ghz. The High-end version comes along with a 3GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage and two dual-core Kyro processors with better speeds of 2.5Ghz and 1.6Ghz respectively. The Pro version of the phone comes with a 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage memory and the same processing speeds as the High-end phone.
All versions of the Mi 5 house a 14MP camera at the rear with a 4MP camera on the front and are powered by a 3,000mAh battery. The Standard and High-end versions of the Mi 5 come with a 3D-Glass back panel, whereas the Pro version of the phone has ceramic back plate. The phone will be available in the colours of Black, White, Gold and Ceramic.
Although all three versions of the Mi 5 were sold in China, the company has not made it clear if it will do the same in India too.
