Xiaomi Mi 5 goes on sale in India, features FHD display and 3GB RAM

Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available for purchase on the Mi India official online shopping portal (mi.com/in/) via the first flash sale today starting at sharp 11:00 AM with the sale extending to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM as well.

Available as part of Mi Fan Festival 2016, the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank will also be available for sale at the same time.

The Xiaomi Mi 5, priced at Rs. 24,999, features a 5.15-inch ultra-bright Full HD display, Snapdragon 820 Kryo 1.8GHz processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 3GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB UFS 2.0 Flash. Moreover, the display integrates a pixel density of 428 PPI enables you to read more content in a small display with 600-nit brightness.

While the primary camera included with 4G dual SIM device is equipped with a 16MP sensor coupled with 4-axis OIS, 6-piece lens, 6-piece lens and two-tone flash, the front-facing snapper is accompanied by a 4MP sensor with support for 36 smart beauty profiles, large 2-micron pixels, f/2.0, 80° wide angle lens, selfie countdown and face recognition.

Unlike the previous Mi smartphones, the Mi 5 includes a large fingerprint sensor on the physical front home button. A 3,000mAh lithium-ion polymer non-removable battery with fast charging technology completes the package.

In contrast with previously released devices, the new Xiaomi Mi 5 has two speaker grills on the bottom facing portion alongside an infrared port, which enables you to connect to external devices like TV.

Xiaomi is also offering additional Mi Protect package only for Rs. 499 for customers who purchase Mi 5 today. While Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is available for Rs. 9,999 with additional Rs. 50 discount for the protective case, the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank is available for Rs. 1,699.

Xiaomi, as part of #MiFanFestival celebrations, is also offering exciting offers for Xiaomi Mi 4, Redmi 2 Prime and other accessories including bundled freebies with Mi 4i and Mi Pad.
