South Korean electronics giant Samsung announced that its upcoming smart TVs starting this year would run on its Tizen operating system. The company has been working on Tizen for a long time now. The company’s Gear series of smartwatches run on Tizen operating system though it was first introduced with Android in Galaxy Gear. Samsung later shifted to the open-source Tizen operating system.
According to Samsung, the new smart TVs will bring a number of new features including a Sports option which can be used to watch sports and check statistics at the same time. PlayStation Now service for on-demand games will also be available in the new Smart TVs.
Samsung will also make sure that you don’t miss any of the viral videos from the web through a new Milk Video feature that will help you discover the trending videos online.
The International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 is set to kick off next week in Las Vegas, where companies take stages to show off what’s hot for the year ahead.
