SEOUL, South Korea – Samsung has globally launched the Galaxy Tab S2 on 20th July, the most immersive Samsung tablet till date. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be available in 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch variants all around the globe, starting from August.
The CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics – J.K. Shin said, “The Galaxy Tab 2S is not our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users swift, easy access to a wealth of higher viewing and productivity features.”
At just 5.6mm thin and weighs only at 256g (8.0-inch variant) and 389g (9.7-inch variant), the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is elegantly designed it to be the thinnest and lightest metal frame tablet available in the market currently. It’s an impeccable device for reading and consuming content due to its fabulous Super AMOLED display, which makes easy to read digital content, including e-books, magazines, web pages and news feeds.
The Galaxy Tab S2 also offers deeper contrast and more exact detail to provide a best-in-class reading experience with the Super AMOLED display conveying 94% of natural tones to display true-to-life colors (Adobe RGB Color Standard).
Both the models of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 offers 2048 x 1536 pixels of screen resolution and comes powered by a Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz, Octa-core application processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
Inessential to say, both the models will run on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and sports 8MP Autofocus snapper on the rear and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.
With the storage option of 32GB and 64GB, plus a microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 128GB, both models are available in Wi-Fi as well as Wi-Fi + LTE variants.
The tablets come fully armed and preloaded with Microsoft Office Solutions and allows storing up to 100GB of data and files on the cloud via OneDrive for two years for free of cost. Also, it’s compatible with the Advanced Book Cover Keyboard that provides the same ease of a standard PC Keyboard with a built-in trackpad.
Excitingly, Samsung has gone all out with the new tablets with touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner and the ability to view and run two apps in the chorus. Also, the Galaxy Tab S2 features Smart Manager, which shows the device’s settings automatically, including battery power levels, storage, and RAM availability. It’s also pre-installed with anti-malware for an additional layer of defense.
Whereas, the connectivity options of Galaxy Tab S2 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth®4.1 BLE, GPS, Micro-USB, and GLONASS.
