Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) with AMOLED Infinity Display launched in India

Samsung Galaxy On8 (2018) has been officially launched in India. Priced at INR 16,990, the smartphone will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart and Samsung’s online store, from August 6 and onwards. Launch offers for the handset include no-cost EMIs as well as special data schemes. The device is offered in Black and Blue colour options.

Key specifications on the Galaxy On8 (2018) include a 6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity Display having an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. Under the hood, the smartphone gets powered by Snapdragon 450 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. The handset also offers storage expandability upto 256GB via microSD slot.

In the photography department, the Galaxy On8 gets a 16MP+5MP dual-lens primary camera with LED flash. The company is also touting features such as AI, Live Focus, Portrait Dolly, Portrait Backdrop, and Background blur shape. For selfies, the handset gets a 16MP front-facing shooter with f/1.9 aperture. Another highlight of the Galaxy On8 (2018) is the Chat Over Video feature that allows users to chat while watching a video.

As far as OS goes, the device runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UX on top. Juicing up the smartphone is a 3500mAh battery. Connectivity options on the handset include dual-SIM Nano slots, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, microUSB port, as well as 3.5mm jack.
