Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 and J7 2016: Thing to know about Specs and Price

Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 2016

Samsung recently released the much-awaited Galaxy J5 2016 and J7 2016 at the price tags of Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 15,990 respectively. The new models are somewhat different than its previous counterparts with some minor changes in the features and specifications. Let us examine them in detail.

The first thing which we need to point out is the display size. While Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 features a 5.2-inch HD display, the J7 2016 offers a 5.5-inch HD display. Interestingly, the pixel density of J5 2016 is higher (282 ppi) than J7 2016, which has a density of 267 ppi. There is a sharp variation and we are unable to understand the reason behind it. Naturally, the display should be sharper in higher models.

On the processing side, the Galaxy J5 2016 has got Snapdragon 410 chipset paired with a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 306 graphics. However, Galaxy J7 2016 comes with Exynos 7870 processor coupled with ARM Mali-T830 MP1 graphics.

Both Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 and J7 2016 comes with 2GB RAM AND 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). In 2015, Samsung had released two variants of internal storage. But the company decided to keep it simple this time.

When you compare Galaxy J5 2016 and Galaxy J7 2016, you will notice that there is a difference of 200mAh battery. While J5 comes with 3100mAh battery, the J7 2016, on the other hand, is equipped with a 3300mAh battery.

Talking about camera, Samsung has packed 13MP main camera and 5MP front-facing sensor in both Galaxy J5 2016 and J7 2016. A notable feature of both devices is that the camera sensor is equipped with LED flash in both main and front-facing departments.
