Samsung launched Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A5 in India at Rs. 33,400 and Rs. 29,400 respectively, during the sidelines of the recently held Samsung Forum event in Kuala Lumpur. The devices will be exclusively available via Snapdeal in Gold, White and Black variants starting February 15.
Commenting on the launch, Manu Sharma, who heads the Samsung India Mobile unit revealed that the company is committed to continuous innovation based on our experience with the consumers. Moreover, the Galaxy A series has been manufactured to deliver the best design with flagship features, adds Sharma.
While Samsung Galaxy A7 features a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, its little brother, Galaxy A5 comes with a 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display. Both the models will have a fingerprint reader mounted on the home button.
Powered by a powerful Snapdragon 615 SoC and paired with 3 GB RAM, Samsung Galaxy A7 flaunts 16GB of storage with the capability to expand the storage to up to 128GB via SD card.
Coming to camera specs, Galaxy A7 includes a 13MP primary camera with a f/1.7 aperture and OIS in addition to a 5MP front-facing shooter.
While Galaxy A7 has a battery capacity of 3300 mAh, Galaxy A5 sports a 2900mAh battery with other specifications except processor and RAM remains the same.
Equipped with the Exynos 7580 SoC with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM, Galaxy A5 sports a 5.2-inch FHD display and 32GB of internal storage. Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via Micro SD card.
To recall, Samsung had launched Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 series in 2014 with Snapdragon 410 processor. Manufactured using premium Aluminium, Samsung was sharply criticized by tech enthusiasts because the A series smartphones are too Plasticky.
With a market share of 23%, Samsung recently crossed the race with Micromax to reach the top spot in Indian smartphone market.
