Sachin Tendulkar backed Smarton launches t.book, t.phone, and tron.x in India

Smarton has announced the launch of t.book, t.phone, and tron.x in India at a launch event in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar, Mahesh Lingareddy, other company top executives, and global partners.

While the t.book is a high-performance Ultrabook convertible device powered by Windows 10, the t.phone is touted to be the lightest Android smartphone with a 5.5-inch display.

Speaking to reporters during the launch event, Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the shareholder and brand ambassador of Smarton, disclosed that he is delighted to be associated with a brand based in India, which is all set to disrupt technology with the launch of compelling Internet-driven products like tablets, smartphones, and IoT-based devices to simplify the lifestyle of users.

Exclusively available on Gadget360.com at Rs. 39,999 starting April 8th, 2016 in Grey and Orange color variants, Smartron t.book features a 12.2-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) IPS fingerprint-resistant oleophobic layer display, Intel Core M 2.0 GHz processor, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM coupled with a 128GB SSD storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using microSD card slot.

Manufactured using all-metal unibody with dual tone styling, Smartron t.book looks similar to that of Microsoft Surface in all aspects. It also comes with a 10,000mAh battery, which is capable of delivering up to 10 hours of usage time.

Responding to questions from media, Mahesh Lingareddy, CEO, Smarton revealed that the company has designed t.book in such a way that it can be used as a complete workstation due to its large display compared to traditional 2-in-1’s, full-size foldable keyboard and hinged kickstand. Moreover, Mahesh also clarified that the device has been priced to fit the budget of common people in India.

Coming to photography front, Smartron t.book features a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera paired with a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper. The biggest attraction of Smartron t.book is the inclusion of an external keyboard with the product package and a 30-days free trial of Office 2016.

Moreover, the device also comes with two full-size USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port to facilitate fast charging, one Micro-HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot including a magnetic pogo pin for external keyboard support.

Meanwhile, Tron.x integrates with all the devices, software and cloud platforms to deliver intelligent and customized experience via hubtron. Interestingly, both t.book and t.phone comes with hubtron support, which enables users to access profiles, documents, images, music, services, care including management of all other IoT devices.

At this point of time, we don’t have enough information about Smartron t.phone except that it will feature a 5.5-inch display loaded with Android. According to company sources, t.phone will be unveiled at a special launch event during the third week of April.
