Responding to questions from media, Mahesh Lingareddy, CEO, Smarton revealed that the company has designed t.book in such a way that it can be used as a complete workstation due to its large display compared to traditional 2-in-1’s, full-size foldable keyboard and hinged kickstand. Moreover, Mahesh also clarified that the device has been priced to fit the budget of common people in India.
Coming to photography front, Smartron t.book features a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera paired with a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper. The biggest attraction of Smartron t.book is the inclusion of an external keyboard with the product package and a 30-days free trial of Office 2016.
Moreover, the device also comes with two full-size USB 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port to facilitate fast charging, one Micro-HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot including a magnetic pogo pin for external keyboard support.
