Reliance Jio is expected to make a big announcement on December 28 regarding the extension of its free Jio 4G Welcome Offer. According to rumors, the company will make a formal announcement on extending free services for another three months. The date of December 27 has been selected since it coincides with the birthday of Reliance Industries founder Dhirubhai Ambani.
Commenting on the development, Motilal Oswal disclosed that mass scale-free welcome offer could continue until March 2017 to attract subscriber growth towards the celebrated 100 million mark. Meanwhile, analysts at Citi Research reveal that there would be no cap on the count of promotional offers rolled out.
Reliance Jio free services will be extended till March 2017
According to a report published in Business Insider, Reliance Jio will announce an extension of the free Jio Welcome Offer till March 2017. Currently, customers enjoy free 4G LTE data and voice calls through a 4G-enabled smartphone. Moreover, the extension of free 4G services will be equally applicable to all existing Jio users provided they should buy new SIM card before December 3.
Download MyJio app to get free Reliance Jio 4G SIM card
To avail free 4G LTE voice, SMS and data services, you need to download MyJio app and generate a bar code. After that, you should present the handset to your nearest Reliance store and collect your 4G SIM free of cost. However, you should complete this process before December 3 to enjoy services beyond December 31 or March 31 if they extend the services.
If you buy a new SIM card on December 4, you will not be eligible for the offer. This is because the 90-day cut off period set by the TRAI to end distribution of free SIM cards ends on December 3. It is unlikely that this date will be extended since it is decided by the law.
If you would like to avail free 4G data services, you need to collect your 4G-enabled SIM card before December 3 from exclusive Reliance outlets. We expect huge crowd before Reliance outlets by the end of this month.
