Google announces Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P Price and Availability in India

Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P

Google has finally introduced two new smartphones in the Indian market for its upcoming fiscal year. The two new flagships, Nexus 5X, and 6P packed with amazing and few disappointing features are now slowly heading towards offline and online stores. Flipkart and Amazon are already looking forward to having a great pre-booking orders.

Let’s start off by ripping apart the Nexus 5P to see what we have under the hood. Google Nexus 5P by LG features 5.2-inches FHD 1920 x 1080 at 423 PPI, Gorilla Glass 3 LCD. Google earlier this year during the annual developer conference, Google I/O, marked the Android 6.0 support for the Fingerprint reading, and here we are, the Nexus 5P is coming with a reader on the back. Getting used to that is probably a big learning curve, however, it is one of the best design methodologies for such form factors.

Talking about the hardware, Nexus 5P rocks a solid Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 (Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57) hexacore processors along with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB storage options without any expandability options. On the GPU front, we have Adreno 418, which in many terms is a good graphic driver.

Moving forward, a slightly protruding camera can be observed on the Nexus 5P featuring 12.3 MP sensors with laser autofocus and Dual-LED flash. Other technical details include 1.55µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, HDR, and dual recording. Front facing camera is of 5MP. Other than that, we have NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, and Wi-Fi Wi-FI 802.11 ac.

The battery for this smartphone is a 2700 mAh with USB Type-C port for the syncing and charging purposes.

Coming with a price tag of  31,990.00 INR the smartphone is available in Carbon, Quartz, and Ice variants.

Let’s now move over to the bigger sibling, and talk about the Huawei Nexus 6P that is even better. It comes in a form factor measuring 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 178g. The slim design of the smartphone features a slight bump on the rear side that houses the camera and the flash. Many would say that it’s again a smartphone featuring a protruding design, however, it is much more than that.

Nexus 6P is a smartphone that looks even more premium and has specifications that are amazing for this range. The Google-endorsed smartphone features a gorgeous 5.7-inch display coming with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels at 515 PPI. On the back, it sports a fingerprint sensor to boast the Android 6.0 Marshmallow biometric feature.

Internals for this smartphone is Quad-core 1.56 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 1.82 GHzQualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 v2.1. The graphic driving force behind this monster is the reliable Adreno 430. Coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB storage options, the smartphone is going to offer you an exceptionally well performance and multitasking.

The camera is much similar to that of the Nexus 5P and features a 12 MP sensor with 4608 x 2592 pixels, laser autofocus, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Other identical details include 1.55µm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, photo sphere, HDR, and dual recording.

Huawei Nexus 6P Price in India

[ps_prices]

Coming with a price tag of Rs. 39,999 (32GB) and Rs. 42,999 (64 GB), the Nexus 6P is a flagship that can probably make all other flagship Android smartphones bend their knees. Endorsed by Google, excellent specifications, and the reasonable price point – what else you need?

However, let’s discuss which one of these is better, and why? Except the screen size, there are no major internal differences between the two smartphones, but cosmetically we are looking at distinct territories for these devices. Honestly, the Nexus 6P has a premium design that makes the Nexus 5P feel a little ashamed.

Talk about the price, and the 32GB variant of the Nexus 5X is very close to the base Nexus 6P.

Conclusion – Nexus 6P has a better design and is a little better over the 5P in terms of performance. If you can consider shelling out few more thousand bucks and the 5.7-inch display, Nexus 6P is what you need to buy.
