Moto X 2016 smartphone with 4.6-inch display, octa-core processor spotted on GFXBench

A listing on GFXBench website has revealed about the new Moto X 2016 smartphone. The device is said to feature a 4.6-inch or a 5-inch Full HD IPS 1920×1080 Pixels resolution display. It is supposed to be powered by a 2.1GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6755) processor with ARM Mali-T860 GPU paired with 3GB of RAM. The new handset could be equipped with 32GB of internal storage expandable storage via Micro SD card.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the phone offers 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 ac/b/g/n), GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB Type-C port. Some other features include an accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, light sensor, proximity sensor, and pedometer.

Earlier it was speculated that the Moto X line would be discontinued to make way for the new Moto Z series. However, in a statement to Android Police, the company said that the Moto X series not being discontinued. The company also said that that the two lineups are for different sets of users. Moto Z offers an entirely new experience.
