Microsoft Lumia 650 smartphone with Windows 10, 5-inch display launched

Microsoft Lumia 650 Windows 10 phone is launched with 5″ AMOLED HD display, in black and matte white color variants at $199. While Lumia 650 will hit select European markets starting February 18, Microsoft termed its display panel as the most beautiful screen ever at this price tag.

Software giant disclosed that the handset is meant to offer a perfect balance between work and personal needs of consumers. Moreover, the device is said to be suitable for enterprise users since it offers built-in support for Microsoft business apps.

Furthermore, Microsoft Lumia 650 offers the capability to test the latest Windows 10 Mobile updates against the critical line of business systems and apps.

Microsoft, through a blog post, revealed that the product team is working towards improving the Windows Mobile platform with regular updates. Moreover, the company is committed to delivering the most productive and secure Windows-based smartphones to Windows fans and business customers.

Microsoft Lumia 650 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. With a pixel density of 297ppi, Lumia 650 equips 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 200GB via microSD card).

Microsoft Lumia 650 flaunts an 8-megapixel f/2.2 aperture primary camera with support for autofocus and LED flash alongside 5-megapixel front-facing sensor with f/2.2 lens.

Microsoft Lumia 650 has a user-replaceable 2000mAh battery. It features all major connectivity options such as 4G LTE, 2G, 3G, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Beidou in addition to an FM radio receiver.

Manufactured using a solid aluminium frame, Lumia 650 features exchangeable back covers, which will be available in both black and white color variants within the next few months.

Just like other Windows 10 devices, a 6.9mm thick Lumia 650 bundles productivity tools such as Office, OneDrive, and Cortana under 122 grams.

As of writing this, the dual-SIM Microsoft Lumia 650 is listed on Microsoft India’s website, without pricing and availability information. We expect Microsoft Lumia 650 to be released in India by the end of Q1 2016 at Rs. 14,999.
