Letv Le 1S: LeEco sells 70,000 smartphone units in 2 seconds via flash sale on Tuesday

Letv Le 1S, from the Chinese manufacturer LeEco, went on flash sale on Flipkart on 2nd February, 2016. The company has achieved groundbreaking flash sale record by selling 70,000 Le 1S smartphones in just 2 seconds. The company claimed that around 5 lakh registrations were received for the smartphone, and so, it would be holding the next flash sale on the 9th of February on Flipkart at 12 noon.

The sale would be opened for Rs. 10,999, and if the purchase is made using Axis bank card, one can avail it at a price of Rs. 9,899.

The Chief Operating Officer of LeEco, Atul Jain stated that this Le 1S is being sold without any margin so that the ecosystem of their offerings can be boosted.

Coming to the specifications, Le 1S features a 5.5-inch FHD touchscreen display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The handset is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled by 3GB RAM. On the memory front, the phone includes an internal storage capacity of 32GB with no option of expanding it.

The handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, the device also has the feature of reversible charging, which enables charging other devices with USB Type-C port. It also features the SpeedVolt technology that delivers around 3.5 hours of playback just with a 5 minutes charge.
