Lenovo K4 Note with Fingerprint Sensor and VR support launched at Rs. 11,999

Lenovo K4 Note Review Pc-Tablet Media

Much-awaited Lenovo K4 Note is launched in India with a fingerprint sensor and virtual reality support at Rs 11,999. Lenovo also introduced ANT VR headset priced at Rs 1299. The headset will also be available bundled with K4 Note at Rs. 12,499.

The device will be available to purchase through a flash sale on Amazon. The K4 Note can be purchased via Amazon flash sale on January 20, 2015, at 2 PM.

Lenovo sold over one million devices of its highly acclaimed K3 Note via Flipkart in 2015. Lenovo had released several teasers over the last couple of weeks on Social Media, which gave us few clues about the possible features of the new K4 Note.

Lenovo K4 Note is designed using a premium metal body with replaceable rear panels, and Dolby Atmos surround dual front speakers in addition to a 3-mic audio input system with Wolfson WM8281 audio codec support.

Lenovo has added a new feature named Theatre Max, which automatically converts media files into Virtual Reality experience. Android 5.1 Lollipop OS powers the device. We expect an upgrade to Android Marshmallow will be available within the next three months.

Lenovo K4 Note will compete with the recently released Asus Zenfone Max, which has a massive battery of 5000mAh, priced at Rs 9999. Coolpad Note 3 is also a credible competitor since it includes a fingerprint sensor and 3GB RAM at an attractive price of Rs. 9,000, something that matters to a lot of Indians unlike those who invest in Apple products.

Lenovo K4 Note features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 441ppi and 178-degree wide-angle viewing. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6753 64-bit Octa-core processor, Mali T720-MP3 GPU coupled with 3GB LP DDR3 RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter.

The camera sensor provides support for phase detection autofocus and a dual-color LED flash with F2.2 ISOCELL technology. The dual micro-SIM device includes a powerful 3300-mAh Li-Polymer battery that has the capability to offer up to 22 hours of talk time. The K4 Note weighs 158 grams, which is 8 grams higher than the previous counterpart, K3 Note.

Amazon has thrown open registrations for Lenovo K4 Note beginning from January 5, 2015, 3 PM. It is interesting to note that companies are migrating sales from Flipkart to Amazon. Recently, Motorola also started selling Moto Smartwatches via Amazon. We expect Amazon to sell Lenovo K4 Note devices through an open sale on January 26, 2015.
