Lenovo

Lenovo has unveiled the 4G smartphone A6000 in the Indian market recently that costs Rs. 6,999, making it the most affordable 4G phone in the country. Lenovo had showcased the A6000 earlier at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

The device hits the Indian market at an affordable budget of Rs. 6,999. The company has set a price of only Rs. 6,999 for the 4G smartphone. At this price, it now stands as the cheapest 4G smartphone In India.

The Lenovo A6000 is available to purchase on Flipkart. As of now, Lenovo is distributing the phone only as on a ‘registered sale,’ which demands users to register for the device on Flipkart.

The website offers registrations starting today till January 27 and will start the sale of the device from Jan 28 onwards. Only registered users will be able to avail the phone.

The A6000 sports 5-inch HD display that offers a sharp display and quality appreciable enough for the price range. The screen has a negative aspect though- that it is prone to fingerprints. Lenovo did not comment on the device being scratch-proof, so the best bet would be to get a screen guard for it.

Apart from the screen, the other features of the device meet the standard of most Smartphone’s. It is 8.2mm thick but does not look too bulky.

For the first time, the company has opted for the back cover to sport a matte look instead of a glossy one. It has stereo speakers that work best with Dolby Digital Plus technology.

Technical specifications of the smartphone include 1GB RAM and 64-bit 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. It has an 8GB internal storage space- expanded to 32 GB using a microSD card.

The device comes with an 8MP rear and a front camera of 2 MP. It is still to be seen how the 4G technology device suits the Indian market.
