The latest iteration 2016 Hyundai Elantra launch could be just around the corner. The company has instructed its dealers to start booking for the upcoming car. Dealers of the South Korean car manufacturer have begun taking requests from would-be consumers which are slated to be launched next month. The booking amount has been fixed at Rs. 25,000 for reserving a car.
2016 Hyundai Elantra has been reportedly seen in many locations in the country during its testing process. The next version of the premium range car loses much of its smooth design, and now bears a slightly laid back design with the front more formal and mature instead of the aggressive and sharp contours in the earlier versions. The latest version is made of 53 percent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), and it gives the car a higher structural rigidity on the model.

The inner décor has also been refurbished and bears a much simpler and straightforward design which is less pretentious, still looking modern and appealing complete with a touch screen entertainment unit which is placed bang in the center. The next edition of the car features some space age gizmos, a plusher looking cabin, made of improved materials and is bristling with most of the latest technical features.
The vehicle is available in two engine options- a 2.0-liter petrol engine and 1.6-liter diesel unit which present in the current Hyundai Verna and the previous version of the Elantra. The 2.0-liter petrol engine produces 149 BHP. The diesel engine produces a power of 136 BHP.
The car is 20 mm longer and 25 mm wider than its predecessors and has a wheelbase of 2700 mm. It features swept-back headlamps with a projector unit. It also features LED daytime running lights and LED fog lights.
Looking at the test versions which are heavily camouflaged, it is still difficult to discern all the changes it might be featuring from its earlier versions. The car is expected to lock horns with its rivals that include the Corolla from Toyota and Jetta from Volkswagen.
Hyundai has pushed its vehicles to its limit while testing and looking at the frequent spotting of the latest version of the Elantra on Indian roads; it seems that it has done the same with its latest car also. Hyundai leaves no efforts in perfecting its products, and its products have carved a niche for itself when it comes to flawless performance.
