Huawei unveiled the new P9 and P9 Plus today at their event in London. The premium class phones house professional grade camera lenses that are placed in a pair at the rear end, a collaboration between Huawei Consumer Business Group and Leica, world-renowned for their precision camera lenses.
The P9 was launched at a price of Rs. 45,464 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 49,259 for the 64GB variant. The former comes along with 3GB of RAM and the latter with a 4GB RAM. The P9 Plus comes available with 64GB of internal storage with a 4GB RAM for a price of Rs. 56,849.
Both the P9 and P9 Plus house two 12MP cameras at the rear. One of these lenses is an RGB lens which aids in capturing coloured details in your frame, while the other lens is just monochromatic, which will let you capture dimension and grade in black and white. When applied together, they stitch richer images with better grades and noticeably better detail.
The P9 is fashioned with a 5.2” full-HD display screen and the new Kirin 955 2.5GHz- 64-bit ARM-based processor that offers superior performance. The phone is powered by a 3,000mAH battery which provides long usage cycles.
The P9 Plus comes along with the same processor and a larger screen at 5.5”, which features Press Touch Technology and a slightly larger battery at 3,400mAh. Moreover, the P9 Plus’ dual-IC rapid charge that allows the user to gain a talk-time of about 6 hours on charging the device for a mere ten minutes.
Both the P9 and P9 Plus feature a triple-antenna architecture that provides unhampered data and network connectivity across the globe. The phones come seated with Huawei’s state-of-the-art fingerprint sensors and are constructed of 2.5D glass and aerospace grade aluminum for the best look and feel.
