HTC Desire 828 dual-SIM smartphone is now available for purchase on Flipkart. The phone is priced at Rs. 19,990 with two color options, Pearl White and Dark Grey.
The Desire 828 features HTC’s UltraPixel camera technology, first unveiled in the first generation HTC One, which the company claims improves the ability to shoot in poor lighting by incorporating a bigger sensor.
However, this time, the UltraPixel camera technology is used for the front camera, which might improve your ability to take selfies in low lighting. The front camera is a 4 MP sensor while the rear camera is 13 MP and features Optical Image Stabilization.
HTC Desire 828 has 16 GB internal storage with expansion possible via the included microSD card slot. It sports a 5.5 inch full HD display and a 2800 mAh Li-ion battery. The phone measures in at 78.9×157.7×7.9 mm.
For the software, it will be running the slightly older Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with HTC’s proprietary Sense UI, compared to HTC One A9 which is already running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Under the hood, the device has a 1.5 GHz Mediatek MT6753T octa-core processor alongside 2 GB RAM.
For connectivity, it offers 4G support, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi (b/g/n/ac), a micro USB port, a 3.5 mm jack, and GPS with GLONASS.
At its price point, it seeks to compete with the likes of phones like the Samsung Galaxy E7, Sony Xperia T3, Asus Zenfone 2, Moto X Play, and Lenovo Vibe X. Flipkart is offering up to Rs 10,000 off in an exchange offer for older smartphones.
