HTC Bolt leaked renders reveal Android 7.0 Nougat and Silver color varaint

The upcoming HTC Bolt smartphone with the codename Acadia is expected to be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. In September 2015, Evan Blass aka @evleaks tweeted with the information that HTC Bolt with codename Acadia with Silver color will hit the markets soon. It was followed by @LabTooFeR, who tweeted with little more information.

According to reports, the forthcoming HTC Bolt handset will run Android 7.0 Nougat on top of the HTC Sense 8gp interface. You will be able to experience a variant of Sense which is closer to the stock Android.

Hence, you can infer that the new HTC Bolt will make use of the same version of HTC Sense with different Android platform. The leaked render displays the time as 7PM and hence it can be assumed that the new smartphone will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat.

HTC Bolt phone will be available in the US market via Sprint

The new HTC Bolt phone will be available in the US market via Sprint. Moreover, the handset will also be released in the European, African and Asian markets as well. However, we don’t have any information as to when will the phone be released on the market. We expect the release of the phone before the end of December 2016 probably during around the Black Friday time frame.

Even though we don’t have any information about the specifications of the HTC Bolt handset, the phone will be manufactured with an alloy unibody design. We expect HTC to integrate front-facing speaker grills since the name Bolt implies the enhanced sounding technology.

HTC Bolt will have less powerful processor

If rumors are to be believed, HTC Bolt will be infused with a less powerful processor when compared to Snapdragon 820 in HTC 10. This means you can expect the addition of Snapdragon 600-series processor variants for the Western markets.

HTC Bolt will have fingerprint sensor

HTC Bolt will not ship with the rear mounted laser autofocus sensor but will include a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front including a dual rear LED flash. The phone will also ship with a side mounted SIM and microSD card slots respectively.

Meanwhile, HTC in the past had released a different variant of the same phone. However, the phone shipped with a MediaTek processor for the Asian markets with a different model.

As of writing this, we don’t have any extra information about HTC Bolt. We will monitor the leaks and keep you updated.
