Google smartwatch release date: Likely to debut by 2016-end

Google  Same has been the story for Android Wear Smartwatches. Rumoured to be codenamed ‘Angelfish’ and ‘Swordfish’, the two wearables are believed to be released after the Nexus phones.

An anonymously sourced article on Android Police revealed these Images of the devices. The one on the left is Angelfish and on the right is the Swordfish.

The article also mentions that the chunky design and the heavy strap dismisses the chances of Angelfish having a Google MODE Android Wear watch bands. Swordfish, on the other hand, is smaller and lighter, and therefore can support it.

The article also mentions that the chunky design and the heavy strap dismisses the chances of Angelfish having a Google MODE Android Wear watch bands. Swordfish, on the other hand, is smaller and lighter, and therefore can support it. The larger one has a larger crown buttons and visible shoulder buttons, whereas the other doesn’t seem to have a shoulder button.

The Swordfish has a circular display bezel, which means that there will be a little gap between the display and the bezel. The other device seems to be flatter. There is no word as far as the branding is concerned, but we believe that Google will stick to its own name, as has been the case with their devices besides smartphones.

As all smartwatches, both devices are said to have fitness tracker, whereas only Angelfish could have LTE and GPS. We are still fishing for more specs and details on these devices. So far, all we can tell is that Google seems to be going for the classic black dial, that really gives the feel of wearing a watch. I’m not one for fitness wearables, but these ones seem to be of my type in the design department.
