Fitbit has released a sleek fitness wristband named Fitbit Alta with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India and across retail stores across the country starting March 2016.
Initially, the band will be available in a black, blue, teal or plum with a satin finish including a silver stainless steel tracker. However, shiny gold stainless steel tracker will be available by the end of Q3 2016.
Designed with a satin finish and stainless steel body, Fitbit Alta enables you to personalize the band to fit your style in addition to advanced health and fitness enhancements.
Equipped with automated tracking of your daily activities, the Fitbit Alta enables you to set reminders and also provides visual feedback about the progress of your health in addition to smart notifications.
Commenting on the release of Fitbit Alta, James Park, CEO and Co-Founder of Fitbit revealed that their latest offering is manufactured using attractive and versatile design using which users can make use of it in their home, gym, office or at night time.
Featured with short and positive prompts, Fitbit Alta includes a mini-step goal of 250 steps each hour and will congratulate you when you achieve the goal. However, users will be able to personalize their schedule including the ability to set signal when the prompts are not required.
Integrated with SmartTrack automatic exercise recognition, you will be able to track workouts and provides weekly credits upon reaching the required goals.
With continuous tracking of your activities like walking, running and elliptical, Fitbit Alta comes with an easy-to-read OLED tap display with the ability to customize using a variety of portrait or landscape clock face options. Moreover, the Android app encourages users to monitor step count, distance, calories burned and active minutes on a daily basis.
While communicating personal greetings, Julianne Hough, who is the current ambassador of Fitbit, disclosed that the device helps her lifestyle to be in constant motion for both work and play. Hough further said that Fitbit Alta seamlessly integrates into her busy life because of the swappable bands.
On the connectivity front, the Fitbit Alta features Bluetooth, through which the device delivers call, text and calendar notifications from your smartphone using both on-screen messages and a gentle vibrating effect.
