The Essential PH-1 smartphone now will be available to the consumers who pre-order the device. The company has started shipping the device, and it will be available to the buyers in next couple of days. The customers can track their order via Email which will be sent by the company. Notably, The Essential PH-1 is a modular type smartphone which is priced at $699. In addition to the shipping of the phone, Andy Rubin comment on the Twitter “We’re beginning to ship Essential Phone! Currently, the Essential Phone PH-1 will be shipped with black color variant only just as promised before. The matte color option isn’t available for pre-order yet. Whereas, the white color option will be available soon on the official company website. The modular attachment like the 360-degree camera will be sold separately for $50. The phone is built on the solid Titanium frame and announced with four color variants i:e Stellar Gray, Ocean Depths, Black Moon, and Pure White.
As per specification, the smartphone is packed with a 5.7-inch QHD edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with Adreno 540 and 4GB RAM. The phone has an internal storage of 128GB which is non-expandable. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system out of the box. The phone packs a 3040 mAh battery Li-ion battery which can provide full day back up under heavy usage.
On the camera front, there is a dual 13MP camera on the back which comes with f/1.9 aperture, phase detection & laser autofocus, and LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP optics which comes with f/2.2 aperture. The connectivity option includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-Type C. The device measured at 141.5 x 71.1 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 185g.
