Known for tipping off the world about the upcoming smartphones through his articles and posts, Evan Blass has shattered many more hopes this time by saying that there will be no iPhone 7 Pro.

The most rumored phone of the year said to have a screen larger than 5.5 inches, sporting a rear smart connecting port to attach a QWERTY keyboard could turn out to be nothing but a rumour.

Other rumours attached to the phone were a dual-camera setup and a dual-SIM.
According to Blass, the only two iPhones that are going to be released this year are the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, and their codenames are “Sonora”and “Dos Palos”.

The pictures that were released yesterday had several indicators that they may be fake. First of all, at the back of each of the units were the ‘S’ logo, but this year’s model is not supposed to use the ‘S’ name.

Speaking of leaked pictures, the latest ones released today reveal that the camera will be a little larger and the lightning port will serve as the audio port. These words leave us with a few assumptions of the phone that have not been dismissed credibly, yet. They are:

  1. The antenna lines at the back of both the phones have been moved up.
  2. Neither of the devices will have a 3.5mm earphone jack.
  3. The camera lens on the iPhone 7 will be larger.
  4. Both the versions will be launched officially in September.

This is the only rumour from a slightly credible source in the past couple of months. Earlier RockFix, a popular repair centre from China, had revealed that the from among the iPhone 7’s at least one will have a dual-SIM tray. This one has not been dismissed, yet.
