Apple introduced new iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display in silver, space gray, gold and a new rose gold color variants starting at $599 for the 32GB (Wi-Fi) and $729 for the 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G model.
Responding to questions from the media, Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing revealed that the new iPad Pro is incredibly fast, extremely portable, and completely natural to use with both your fingers, Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. The device is the ultimate upgrade for existing iPad users and replacement for PC users, adds Schiller.
With a 64-bit Apple A9X chipset on board, the main attraction of Apple’s new iPad Pro is the addition of four speaker audio system that is twice as powerful as the previous counterparts.
The new iPad Pro is available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage capacities with 4GB of RAM infused in each one of them. Surprisingly, Apple hasn’t announced a 64GB variant.
The other specifications are almost equivalent to that of iPhone SE with a dual-core 2.26 GHz twister processor, 12-megapixel iSight camera, and 5-megapixel FaceTime HD front-facing camera.
Moreover, the display has been integrated with advanced features like retina support, wider color gamut, lower reflectivity, night shift mode including a new True Tone display technology, which dynamically adjust white balance as per the ambient environment.
Loaded with the latest iOS 9.3, the 4G LTE-enabled handset offers support for Hey Siri, SmartConnector, 63MP panoramas including the ability to capture 4K videos.
While introducing the new iPad Pro, Apple Senior Vice President of Marketing – Phil Schiller disclosed that the new Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader and Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter enable users to download photos and videos from a digital camera to iPad easily.
The new iPad Pro is expected to be available in India by the end of April starting at Rs. 40,000 for the base model, although there is no official confirmation.
