Apple and Nike join hands to offer a special edition Apple Watch 2

Apple Watch 2 NikeLab

Apple and Nike have yet again joined hands to bring a limited edition Apple Watch 2 collection. The new limited edition smartwatch is a collaboration with the sports brand’s NikeLab “innovation platform” and is officially called the “Apple Watch NikeLab.”

This time around, the two heavyweight brands will offer a Spacy Gray Apple Watch casing coupled with a Light Bone/Black strap, giving it a more urban look compared to its predecessor.

Under the hood, even this limited edition series comes with a slew of handy features as that of its predecessor including Siri commands, GPS, a vivid display, along with splash-resistance features and Watch faces. Besides, customers get the option to choose between two sizes: 38mm and 42mm. It’s also worth noting that this edition of the Apple Watch 2 comes emblazoned with the logo “NikeLab Innovators X Innovation”

That said, this new limited edition Apple Watch is only available for purchase on Nike.com, NikeLab stores, along with a pop-up store in Japan, Apple Isetan. Sources suggest this is the first time an Apple Watch won’t be available for purchase directly from Apple. Readers also need to be reminded that being a limited edition smartwatch, it’ll only be available in limited quantities, so hurry up before stocks start depleting.

At the time of writing, pricing details of the limited edition Watch 2 are still unknown Though, what we do know is that it’ll be available starting next week on April 27.

To recall, Apple and Nike also joined hands in a collaborative project for Apple Watch in last year, with the global release of the first ever Apple Watch Nike+ last September. The two colossal brands conceived a smart sports watch with advanced fitness-related features.

It also had the exclusive Nike running app along with two fitness-oriented watch face designs. To increase its popularity, the sports edition was also priced on the same lines as the standard version of the smartwatch.

Hence, we also expect the upcoming NikeLab edition to retail at the same price as the standard Apple Watch 2. The Nike edition, however, would come with fitness-focused features such as the Nike+ Run Club app, making it a great smartwatch for fitness enthusiasts who are on the lookout for some cool Apple gear.
