It’s no surprise that the features and specifications of Xiaomi’s devices are subject to leaks and rumors. This time, it is the turn of Xiaomi Mi 6, the specifications of which are available on a popular online portal exclusively selling Xiaomi smartphones and accessories.
Leaked on Xiaomidevice.com, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 will reportedly feature Snapdragon 830 processor at a price tag of $499. Even though the specifications are listed, the site doesn’t clearly display the image of the upcoming device. A prototype of the device is uploaded with the caption “Xiaomi Mi6“.
After reviewing the specifications, it is almost confirmed that the device is completely different than the one which surfaced in Geekbench a few days back and reported by a leading tech portal. Even though the specs of Mi 6 are now available in the public domain, you should treat it as a rumor since the specifications of Mi 5 were leaked only recently.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Rumoured Specs: 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 830 processor
On the specifications side, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch FHD display with 428 PPI, Snapdragon 830 processor, Adreno 540 graphics, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. There is no reference about expandable storage although we believe in a slot which will have a maximum capacity of 128GB.

Interestingly, the shopping portal has listed that Mi 6 will be loaded with MIUI 7 with the expected availability date of February 2017. This should be incorrect since MIUI 8 will be globally launched in August 2016 and all the upcoming devices released after the launch date will ship with MIUI 8.
While the rear camera is expected to offer 16MP rear camera, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a 4MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The device will provide support for all major connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and OTG.
With only 7.2mm thickness and 135 grams weight, the Mi 6 will also include IR blaster, using which you can control your Television. This leak surely lacks credibility but only time will tell whether the specifications are true or not.
