Reliance Jio user data hacker arrested from Rajasthan

Maharashtra Cyber Police arrested a man who is suspected to be involved with the Reliance Jio user data leak. He has been identified with nickname ‘Imran Chippa’ and has been detained in the Churu district of Rajasthan. A massive amount of data has been leaked of over 120 million Reliance Jio users on Sunday.

Mumbai Police tracked the IP address and reached Churu to take the suspect into custody last night. According to PTI, he is a computer science dropout and currently living in Sujangarh, Rajasthan. The 35-year-old suspect has been claimed to have made a website called Magicapk and stole the Jio user data through this site.

Police have seized the accused’s computer, mobile and all storage devices then was brought to Mumbai on remand. Brijesh Singh, Inspector General of Police, said that a team of Navi Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Cyber Police along with the Reliance Jio officials are still searching for a further clue of a leak in Rajasthan.
