Asus Zenfone Max with 5000mAh battery to be launched on January 4

ASUS ZenFone

Asus Zenfone Max is expected to be launched on 4th January 2016, with a massive battery capacity of 5000mAh. The smartphone will have a large 5.5 inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 267 ppi protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Asus Zenfone Max will have a powerful Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset with a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 Quad-core processor supported by 8GB internal storage and 2GB RAM. However, Asus will also offer a 16GB variant of the device.

The camera specifications look similar to that of previous Zenfone models with a 13MP primary camera and 5MP front-facing camera with support for laser autofocus, dual-LED, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and panorama.

The software side will have Asus ZenUI on the top of Android Lollipop. We expect an upgrade for Android Marshmallow before the end of first quarter. Zenfone Max will provide support for dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The upcoming Asus Zenfone Max will provide an ability for you to use it as a power bank to charge other smartphones and tablets.

The non-removable Li-Po 5000mAh battery is expected to provide a standby time of over five days based upon the usage. The internal storage of 16GB can be expanded up to 128GB. Asus will also provide 5GB of free Web Storage facility bundled with the device.

We don’t have any information as to whether Asus Zenfone Max will provide support for QuickCharge. The device is expected to be available in black and white colors and can be purchased exclusively from Flipkart.

Asus Zenfone Max was announced in August 2015, but it took sometime for the manufacturer to release the smartphone. From our point of view, the delay is most likely attributed to the production of 5000 mAh batteries. But finally it will see the release date.
