Airtel launches 10GB 4G data plan for Rs. 249 in Gujarat to compete with Reliance Jio

Airtel has announced the launch of 4G package in Gujarat at Rs. 249 for 10GB of bandwidth. According to sources, the launch of the new plan is aimed to not only target people in one of India’s richest states but also to combat with Reliance Jio and Vodafone.

If you are in Gujarat, you will be able to enjoy 10GB 4G data for Rs. 249 along with any new 4G smartphone. With a single recharge of Rs. 249, you will be instantly credited 1GB data to your account. However, to avail free 9GB additional data, you have to send an SMS to 52141 with the message “4G offer”.

Airtel launches two new 4G plans

Furthermore, Airtel also introduced two new plans for Rs. 1495 and Rs. 1498 respectively. If you avail 1495 plan, you will be eligible to get 10GB 4G data per month. On the other hand, the Rs. 1498 package enables you to get 6GB of high-speed 4G plan. Moreover, you can purchase 1GB 4G data at Rs. 51 for the upcoming 12 months.

Airtel 4G under 1800MHz spectrum band

In Gujarat, Airtel has launched the 4G services using spectrum band of 1800MHz (FD LTE). The company started to implement the network transformation program code named Project Leap in November 2015.

Airtel pushes into the market by investing Rs. 60000 crores

Airtel has pumped a PAN India investment of Rs. 60000 crores over the next three years. Basically, the Project Leap program is aimed to make the company not only profitable but also competitive in terms of costs with the new players such as Reliance Jio.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has accused Airtel of deliberately blocking calls and not providing sufficient quantity of interconnection points. Airtel has termed the Jio’s claims as baseless and put the blame on Mukesh Ambani-owned firm by stating that they are unable to provide the required services.
