The Taiwanese Electronics giant – Asus is all set to launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, Asus Zenfone 2 in Indian markets. In a recent update, Asus seemed taking a dig at Xiaomi and OnePlus regarding their sales’ strategies. According to Asus, Zenfone 2 will be available to customers without flash sales or invitations, which is something companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus, YU and Honor have preferred to sell their devices recently.

“ASUS to yet again disrupt the Indian Smartphone market soon with Zenfone 2. Taking on Samsung S6 & Apple’s recent launches, the device features 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor with 4GB RAM. No waiting for flash sales or invitations as Zenfone is for all,” company says.

Asus initially showed off the second iteration of Zenfone series at CES 2015 in Las Vegas this year. Zenfone 2 features a new design, a 5.5-inch 1920x1280p full HD IPS display with a wide 178-degree viewing angle. The display features a narrow 3.3mm bezel that gives the device a 72% screen-to-body ratio. Like its predecessor, Zenfone 2 also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Zenfone 2 is powered by an up to 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor and has 4GB RAM to convey up to seven times quicker gaming execution than its predecessor. As per the company, the device’s 60ms touch response time guarantees lag-free input, and OpenGL 3.0 gives improved gaming execution.

The Asus Zenfone 2 has assembled in 4G/LTE network for speedier data speeds of up to 150Mbit/s notwithstanding 802.11ac high-speed Wi-Fi. It bolsters Dual-SIM with Dual Active mode, permitting customers to have two dynamic phone lines on their gadget. It will come in 16, 32 and 64GB storage variants.

Zenfone 2 is likewise furnished with a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide, 85-degree field of perspective for taking selfies. The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with another variant of Asus ZenUI — which has a completely adaptable interface — and Trend Micro security programming.
