The official title sponsor of the Indian Premier League, Vivo has decided to introduce an IPL version of its previously launched V5 Plus smartphone. The V5 Plus IPL edition is set to hit the Indian market after an event that is supposed to be held in Hyderabad today.

As is the tune of the day, the camera is supposed to be the highlight of the phone. The dual front camera will have 20MP and 8MP sensors with an ability to capture high DOF pictures.. The back camera is going to be 16MP along with an LED flash with an array of features like panorama, HDR, motion track etc.

The edition is set to be released in matte black colour with a 5.5-inch FullHD display. The 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor will be powered by Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. As far as storage is concerned, the internal memory is said to be 64GB that can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card.

To ensure a long battery life, its power has been jacked up to 3160 mAh. The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Other key features include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE and bluetooth 4.1.

There has been no word about the availability of the smartphone. However, it is likely that it will be made available just after the IPL starts. The opening ceremony of the league is supposed to be held in Hyderabad (same as Vivo’s event).

Being the title sponsor, the company seems intent on encashing on not only its own brand image but also of the nation’s favourite sport.
