As speculated, Instagram officially received multiple account support on Android and iOS. Initially rolled out to select users in the testing phase, multiple account support is available for Instagram’s 7.15 for iOS and is available in the official App store.

With the introduction of multiple accounts feature, users will maintain more than one account used for various purpose ranging from home, hobby and work on the same device without logging out each and every time.

Moreover, third-party applications may have a harder time competing on attractive features, and the risk of user data harvesting may decrease with the multiple account support.

To add multiple Instagram accounts, you should navigate to the options page and select Add Account located at the bottom of the screen. You will then be able to switch between the various accounts by selecting the relevant username at the top of the screen.

With the introduction of multiple accounts, Instagram has changed the way in which it handles notifications, which will depend on when you last logged in and the number of devices that are logged into an account. Moreover, users will not receive push notifications for all accounts, which will ultimately reduce the battery life.

Even though Instagram has officially announced the introduction of the new multiple accounts feature, users are unable to view the option on their devices. It seems that the photo sharing app is rolling out the feature in a phased manner. As of this writing, we could no view the option.

Rewinding back, Instagram first tested the multiple accounts feature on Android in November 2015 followed by iOS a month later.
