HTC has announced the launch of it’s VR system, HTC VIVE in India. Priced at INR 92,990. It is now the first complete VR system available in the Indian market.

VIVE is being exclusively available for pre-order on Amazon from today. The website for India http://www.vive.com/in will go live on 25th of April. VIVE is also said to be provided for a full in-store experience across select locations in the country.

The VR system includes wireless VR controllers, room scale movement, and a  Head Mounted Display featuring a built-in camera. The Indian consumers can now avail free shipping when they order Vive from Amazon along with two fully-fledged VR experiences:

  1. Everest VR: This one takes the user on a journey through the most sought after experience- climbing the Everest. A sequence of immersive first person locations is bound to make the pursuit of the first point of the world very realistic.
  2. Richie’s Plank Experience: This one is an experience for first time  VR users. One can walk on a see through plank that is placed 80 stories above the ground.

VIVE had bee rumored to come to India for a long time. This arrival provides an opportunity for not only users but also developers.
