Coolpad, India based smartphone brand is rapidly increasing its product lineup by introducing new devices once in every two months. Today, the company released a new model with the name – Coolpad Note 3 Plus with 5.5-inch FHD Display, 3GB RAM at a price of Rs. 8999. In this article, we will compare the latest Note 3 Plus with Note 3 and Note 3 Lite.


Coolpad Note 3 Plus offers a Full HD (1920×1080) display but the previously released Note 3 and Note 3 Lite bears a HD display. Even though Coolpad Note 3 features a 5.5-inch display, the smartphone bears HD display. It seems that Coolpad is trying to compete with Xiaomi and LeEco by introducing FHD in 5.5-inch display.


Both Coolpad Note 3 Plus and Note 3 features 1.3GHz MediaTek 6753 SoC processor, while the Coolpad Note 3 Lite ships with 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 MT6735 processor. Even though the clock speeds of all the models are the same, Lite 3 comes with a slightly lower processor than other counterparts.


All the three models comes with 3GB RAM. Even the Lite variant ships with 3GB RAM, which was a pleasant surprise at the time of its release.


On the storage front, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus features 16GB of internal storage. While the Coolpad Note 3 comes with 16GB of storage (expandable up to 64GB), the Coolpad Note 3 Lite offers 16GB storage but you can expand only up to 32GB.


Interestingly, Coolpad Note 3 Plus, Note 3 and Note 3 Lite features 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with support for LED flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.


All three models of Coolpad Note series comes equipped with a sensitive fingerprint sensor with several new features such as capturing selfies using fingerprint touch.


The recently released Coolpad Note 3 Plus and Coolpad Note 3 boast a thickness of 9.3 mm. However, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite model ships with slightly lower thickness measuring 8.9 mm.


On the connectivity front, all models delivers Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, 3G and 4G support including support for sensors such as proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, and gyroscope.


The Coolpad Note 3 Plus is priced at Rs. 8,999, which is comparatively lower than competing devices such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Le 1s. Recently, the price of Coolpad Note 3 was reduced to Rs. 8,499. However, the Lite variant is still priced at Rs. 6,999. We hope the company will reduce the pricing of Lite variant in the near future.
