Canon Inc. has officially released its brand new EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR in India. This is the successor to the highly popular Canon EOS 5D Mark III which was unveiled on 2012. The brand new camera is aimed at professional photographers and offer advanced capabilities with its full frame 30.4 MP image sensor. The latest DSLR will also please professional videographers with its out of the box support for 4K video recording. The pricing of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV will start from Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
The latest camera brings along several improvements over the good old Canon EOS 5D Mark III. The EOS 5D Mark IV shares some features with Canon’s flagship DSLR, the EOS 1D X Mark II. The newly launched camera sports a new generation 30.4 MP high sensitivity sensor with dual pixel technology. The full 35 mm frame CMOS sensor sports inbuilt Auto Focussing technology.

The EOS 5D Mark IV features the DIGIC 6+ image processor with inbuilt Digital Lens Optimizer (DLO). The advanced processor comes with an improved noise processing algorithm which remarkably enhances the low-light capabilities of the camera. The latest DSLR is sensitive to a wide range of ISO speeds ranging from 100 up to 32000, which can be further extended to 50 to 102400.
The brand new camera supports Dual Pixel RAW (DPRAW) which paves the way for endless post-processing of captured images. Canon’s latest DSLR can continuously shoot seven pictures in each second, increased from the six fps speed of its predecessor. The will result in better capturing of moving objects. The EOS 5D Mark III sports up to 61 autofocus points with a brand new Auto Focus system.
One of the main features of the EOS 5D Mark IV is its capability to shoot 4K videos. The brand new DSLR can shoot DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) 4K videos which put it on par with some of the high range cameras in the market.
The latest EOS 5D can record smooth 4K videos of resolution up to 4096 x 2160 pixels at a decent 30 frames per second speed. The camera can shoot Full HD 1080p videos at up to 60 fps and even supports slow motion HD 720p video recording at 120 fps.

The EOS 5D Mark IV supports WiFi, NFC, and GPS out of the box. It is also a pretty rugged camera with a dust and water resistant construction. In India, the EOS 5D Mark IV costs Rs. 2,54,995 if you only purchase the body. Canon offers two combos, one with a 24-105 mm lens which is priced at Rs. 3,24,995 and the other with 24-70 mm lens costing Rs. 3,06,995.
