Amazon is the most trusted online shopping brand in India, a study conducted by TRA reveals. In its annual report issued recently as part of Brand Trust Report India Study 2016, followed by Snapdeal and Flipkart. Moreover, Ebay, Myntra, Yepme, Jabong, Naaptol, Shopclues and Askmebazaar figured as India’s top trusted online shopping brands.

Responding to journalists, TRA Chief Executive Officer N Chandramouli said Amazon is currently the most trusted e-commerce shopping destination among youths with an overall trust share of 36 percent.

Meanwhile, Snapdeal and Flipkart shared the remaining 40 percent with 76 percent of overall online shopping market share occupied by the three major companies.

The main reason behind Amazon finding the first spot mainly attributes to their excellent customer service and delivery system in addition to wide range of products and no questions asked return policy.

Except smartphones, customers can also return their products if they are not satisfied within the specified days from the delivery date without any phone call.

While Snapdeal has more or less same kind of 7-day return policy, Flipkart offers 30 days replacement policy with refunds only in exceptional cases.

Amazon recently launched all women delivery stations in select cities in India and also gave away products by conducting interesting treasure hunt via the mobile app in a bid to attract customers.

Even though Amazon has its warehouse in Telangana, the global e-commerce giant recently sealed a deal to open the world’s largest global fulfilment center in Hyderabad spread across 2 lakh sq.ft of space, that can generate employment for 5000 youths and brings in huge FDI to India.

The Brand Trust Report India Study 2016 also revealed Samsung as the widely preferred choice for customers in India. Moreover, Google occupied the first position in the Internet category.
