Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched their budget-oriented smartphone Redmi Note 5A. It is the successor to the Redmi 4A handset. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A comes in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver colors and the basic variant with 2GB RAM is priced at 699 yuan (US$ 104 / Rs. 6,720 approx.) and the 3GB RAM model is priced at 899 yuan (US$ 134 / Rs. 8,645 approx.). Finally, the high-end variant that comes with 4GB RAM costs you 1199 yuan (US$ 180 / Rs. 11,530 approx.). The device will go on sale in China starting from tomorrow, August 22nd.
Redmi Note 5A Specifications: The Redmi Note 5A sports a 5.5-inches HD (1280 X 720) IPS display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform clocked at 1.4GHz Quad-Core with Adreno 308 GPU. It packs 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top.
In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Mobile Platform SoC clocked at 1.4GHz Octa-Core with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes in two variants; one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage another with 4GB RAM with 64GB storage that is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9.
Moving to the camera, the device features a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and a 16MP front camera with LED flash, OmniVision sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video chats.
