Revolutionize Your Home Cinema with Samsung's Ultra-Short Throw Projectors
Discover Samsung's groundbreaking 130-inch ultra-short throw projectors, the Premiere 7 and Premiere 9, transforming any room into a high-end home cinema.

Samsung has expanded its home entertainment lineup with the introduction of two ultra-short throw (UST) projectors, the Premiere 7 and Premiere 9, revealed at CES 2024. These devices cater to consumers seeking a large-scale viewing experience without the need for traditional, space-consuming setups. Available for purchase through Samsung’s digital storefront, these projectors promise to deliver a cinema-like 130-inch 4K display from just a few inches away from the wall.

Innovative Technology and Design

The key feature distinguishing Samsung’s new projectors is their ultra-short throw technology, which allows placement close to the viewing surface, minimizing space requirements and simplifying setup. The Premiere 9, equipped with triple laser technology, offers enhanced brightness and color fidelity, covering 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and delivering up to 3,450 ISO lumens of brightness. Conversely, the Premiere 7 offers 100% DCI-P3 coverage and 2,500 ISO lumens brightness, making both models suitable for various lighting conditions.

User Experience and Functionality

Samsung enhances the user experience by incorporating its Tizen OS into these projectors, providing seamless access to popular streaming services and a gaming hub for cloud-based gaming. Noteworthy features include AI Upscaling for sharper images, Vision Booster for dynamic adjustment to lighting conditions, and integration with Samsung’s SmartThings for smart home management. Additionally, the Premiere 9 features a superior sound system with 40W 2.2.2 up-firing speakers, compared to the 30W 2.2ch system in the Premiere 7.

Market Position and Pricing

Priced at $3,000 for the Premiere 7 and $6,000 for the Premiere 9, these projectors represent a high-end market segment. Samsung is currently offering a promotional deal that includes a free second-generation Freestyle projector with purchases made by September 15, 2024.

Samsung’s new projectors signify a shift towards more versatile and high-quality home entertainment solutions. By combining advanced technology with user-centric features, Samsung not only meets but anticipates the evolving demands of modern consumers. This initiative not only challenges the conventional large-screen TV market but also positions Samsung as a pioneer in accessible luxury cinema experiences at home.
