Lately, Oppo unveiled its new OPPO Reno series in China and Europe. Notably, the company launched three devices dubbed as OPPO Reno, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, and OPPO Reno 5G. Now, Oppo has finally confirmed that the series will be launched in India on May 28th. Provided that there’s a lot of time for 5G in India, Oppo is likely to skip the 5G model in the country.

While the Oppo Reno is an upper mid-range smartphone with Snapdragon 710 SoC, the Reno 10X Zoom is a flagship contender with Snapdragon 855 onboard. That said, let’s talk about specifications and expected price of both the devices.

Oppo Reno Specs, Features

The Oppo Reno gets a 6.4-inch full-HD+ panoramic AMOLED display with 93.1 per cent screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Under the display, resides an in-display fingerprint scanner for unlocking the phone.

That said, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6/128GB, 8/128GB and 8/256GBGB RAM and storage options.

For photography, Reno the Oppo Reno features a dual rear camera setup. It comprises of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor alongside a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies, there’s a side-swing camera module that houses a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The camera app offers certain AI features including SuperClear night mode.

Moreover, the phone runs Color OS 6 with features like Dolby Atmos, NFC, and Game Boost 2.0. Lastly, it packs a 3,765mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition, on the other hand, gets a 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display with 93.1% screen-to-body ratio. Just like the regular version, this too flaunts an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the phone gets powered by top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Furthermore, it comes in 6/128GB, 6/256GB and 8/256GBGB RAM and storage options.

Instead of dual cameras on the former, the Reno 10X Zoom Edition gets a triple rear camera setup. The module comprises of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.7 lens. Further, there’s a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a periscope telephoto lens on top and an 8-megapixel sensor with a super wide-angle lens.

Interestingly, the Reno 10x Zoom Edition offers 16-160mm full focal length coverage, allowing 10x lossless optical zoom. It also has dual OIS and triple focus for capturing stable photos even without a tripod. One can record 4K videos in 60fps along with 3D audio using 3 microphones for surround sound effect.

Besides running Color OS 6, the handset gets Dolby Atmos sound, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and Game Boost 2.0. Lastly, it’ll have a 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. In Chine, the Reno has been priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,900) 6/128GB, CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 34,000)for 8/128GB and CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 37,100) for the 8/256GB model.

On the other hand, the 10X Zoom edition price starts at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 41,200) for 6/128GB, CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 46,400) for 6/256GB and CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 49,500) for 8/256GB variant.
