Meizu M2 with 5-inch HD display, Android 5.1 Lollipop now available on Flipkart

Meizu M2 with a 5″ HD display and Android Lollipop now available on Flipkart at Rs. 6999 in both Grey and White variants. Touted as a budget flagship handset, Meizu M2 is always praised and accoladed for its specifications, camera and battery features.

While making Meizu M2 available on Flipkart, the company sources revealed that the smartphone will maintain its leadership position in the budget smartphone segment due to the broad reach of Flipkart.

With transparent ordering system coupled with efficient logistics mechanism in place, Meizu believes to be able to arrive at a huge base of customers across India. Moreover, the company disclosed that it has decided to tie-up with Flipkart following response from on Snapdeal.

Meizu M2 features a 5″ HD IPS display with Dragontrail protection and a pixel density of 296ppi in addition to a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and 2GB DDR3 RAM. The handset supports all major connectivity features such as 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS among others.

Meizu M2 comes loaded with a 13MP Samsung CMOS sensor primary camera and 5MP front-facing shooter with FotoNation 2.0 smart selfie enhancement. Moreover, the sensor includes advanced features such as Face AE face light boost, burst mode, and panoramic lens.

With an internal storage of 16GB (expandable up to 128GB), the dual nano-SIM compatible Meizu M2 claims 23 hours of talk time on 2G network and 680 hours of standby time with a 2500mAh battery. Interestingly, it includes a single slot for accommodating one single SIM and microSD cards respectively.

Like all other high-end smartphones, Meizu M2 comes with its custom-designed user interface, Flyme 4.5 OS. Measuring 8.7mm and with a total weight of 131 grams, Meizu M2 also provides support for a wide range of sensors such as Hall Effect, Gravity Sensor, IR Proximity, Ambient Light, Touch and Digital Compass.

Undoubtedly, Meizu M2 will compete with the likes of Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000, which also has similar features and specifications. It remains to be seen how the brand attracts customers to increase sales over Flipkart.

Moreover, the company has established 42 service centres spanning more than 20 cities across India.
